My very first pet was a churro. Since I wasn't able to get a dog or cat yet, I was begging both of my parents for a hamster. He was a really silly hamster. I took him on countless spontaneous outings, including school, Target, and car rides. He always insisted on having zoomies outside of his cage every night because he loved free roaming so much. He would throw tantrums if I didn't let him. On his hamster wheel, Churro would run for a short while and then stop several times. He would make an attempt to prove a point. Surprisingly, he lived for two years, but it seemed like forever. Everyone, including my professors and classmates, adored him. They even project a picture of him during class! By the time of his death, he was a senior hamster, which is pretty impressive. However, he died after breaking his arm when he was extremely old. To be honest, I was in bad shape, and it crushed my heart. I paid $400 to have him privately cremated and kept in an urn, despite the fact that he was only a hamster.
