His previous owner was only able to keep one cat because they had to move to a new home for their new job in NY. They decided to keep his sister, Luna. Sunny moved into a friend's house after his owner left him, but there wasn't much space because they already had cats. Sunny spent most of his days alone in the corner. My sister had been told about Sunny by her coworker.During the pandemic, my sister brought him home without asking our parents. They weren't big fans at first, of course, but after a while they started to care for Sunny as if she were their own child. He was already an adult when we adopted him.He is a sterotypical orange cat —LIGHTS ARE ON BUT NO ONE IS AT HOME. After a few years, my sister moved out and took Sunny with her. I quickly got my own cat, Astro Boi (which is on theme to match Sunny Boi). I continued to see Sunny whenever I could because he would always be my first real pet. We discovered that he was going to die of thyroid cancer at the end of 2024. I remember Sunny was there for us when times were getting tough at home. During the time we all lived together, we had all grown in our own ways. Sunny really learned how to be confident and goofy. He was shown so much love, and gave us so much love back. Sometimes it was really annoying how much attention he wanted. But in those moments, I knew to cherish it as much as I could. And I would do anything to deal with his clinginess again.
